Core System Upgrade

Providing Our Members a Better Banking Experience

In keeping our commitment to providing efficient and advanced banking services, we are upgrading our core processing system beginning Friday, February 28, 2025 through Monday, March 3, 2025. The core processing system is the computer software and supporting hardware that Memorial Credit Union uses to maintain members’ deposit and loan accounts, process transactions, and support services such as debit cards and online banking. A core system conversion is one of the most complex projects a financial institution can undertake and requires careful planning to lay the groundwork for a successful transition. We can assure you that our team has been working diligently to minimize confusion or unforeseen circumstances during this planned conversion.

With the new core system, you will experience a wide range of benefits including better integration of the credit union’s services both Online and Mobile app, which will provide more functionality and personalized features to manage your money, and improved efficiency in our services. Overall, the new system will provide a better experience with greater security, convenience and value.

What is a system upgrade and why are we upgrading?

Our core processing system, or “Core,” is the software that manages our Credit Union’s financial technology. It manages everything from opening accounts to maintaining transaction records, and from servicing loans to maintaining all our members’ account records. Keeping our members’ information secure and private, and in its best technological health, is a top priority for the long-term care of Memorial members. 

 

We are upgrading our core to bring you a modern and enhanced experience, designed with your needs in mind. This new platform will introduce features that allow you to manage your money more effectively and access functionalities you’ve asked for, enabling a smoother and more intuitive banking journey.

When is the system upgrade happening?

We will be transitioning officially to our new core processing system beginning February 28 – March 3, 2025.

How does this system upgrade benefit me?

Upgrading our core system and Online Banking solution will unlock a range of benefits, including increasing efficiency, improving your experience, and accessing innovative features. Ultimately, this will assist in providing you with the convenience and flexibility expected in today’s digital age.

Is my personal data safe during upgrade?

Yes, keeping your personal information safe and secure is always a top priority for Memorial Credit Union. This system upgrade will not compromise your data in any way.

Are My Funds Safe and Secure during this System Upgrade?

Yes, your funds remain safe and secure. Each account is fully insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to $250,000.

Will My Account Number Change?

No, your account number will not change, however things will look a little different.

Can I still use my current checks?

Yes.

Will I still be able to withdraw cash from ATMs?

Yes, however limits may be applied during conversion weekend of Feb. 28 – Mar. 3, 2025.

Will my debit and credit cards work during conversion?

Yes, however limits may be applied during conversion weekend of Feb. 28 – Mar. 3, 2025.

How can members prepare for the new upgrade?

To ensure a seamless transition to our new online banking system, we encourage you to set up or know your online banking username ahead of time.

Additionally, please update your contact information to stay informed about the upgrade and other important notifications by using the secure messaging feature in online banking, calling, or visiting a branch.

What should I do if I have any questions?

Online & Mobile Banking

Important Notice

*Please make sure your contact information is up to date with the Credit Union prior to conversion to ensure a seamless enrollment experience.

*QuickBook & Quicken Users

Will I be able to bank online or use app during system Upgrade?

No, online and mobile banking will be unavailable from Friday, February 28th to Monday, March 3, 2025. 

iOS Users will update their exsisting app. Look for the update in the App Store.

Android Users will download a new app. Delete your exsisting app and search the Play Store for “Memorial CU”.

Desktop Users can access the new web portal by visiting www.memorialcu.org on March 3, 2025.

Will I have to re-register for the new Online/Mobile banking?

No, current members will not need to re-enroll,  you will log in with your existing username and password as normal and you will be prompted to change your password. If your username was never created for your account, you will need to register your account for digital banking.

To help with the registration process, ensure you know:

  • Account number or your 16-digit debit card or credit card number.
  • The last 4 digits of your SSN.
  • Your date of birth.


Please update your contact information with the Credit Union prior to conversion to ensure a seamless enrollment experience.

When will the new mobile banking app be available?

The new app “Memorial CU” will be available for download beginning, Monday, March 3, 2025 in the Apple App and Google Play stores.

Will there be a real-time payment service?

Yes. MCU will provide safe and efficient payment service that ensures that your money reaches its destination instantly.

Will Text Banking still work on the new system?

Text Banking will be discontinued on the new Online Banking platform. Online Banking will be accessible through the mobile app or through your phones browser to allow constant connection to your account from your mobile device.

Will my transaction history transfer to the new online & mobile platforms?

Yes. 2 years of transactions will show.  

QuickBook & Quicken Users

Memorial Credit Union is migrating to a new online and mobile banking system on March 3, 2025. You will need to take action both before and after the upgrade to ensure that you data transfers smoothly to the upgraded Digital Banking platform.

Bill Pay & External Transfers

Will I be able to access bill pay & external transfers during upgrade?

No. Bill pay and external transfers set up through our online banking system will not be available in online banking prior to the conversion.

Will my Bill Pay scheduled transfers, payments and payees transfer to the new system?

Yes, active Bill Payees and recurring payments will transfer to the new Bill Pay platform. However, please make sure you print out a copy for your own records.

Will my external account transfers process during the conversion?

No.

Will external transfers work to the new online banking?

Yes, external transfers will continue to work on the new Online Banking platform, now with new and enhanced features. Additionally, you will need to re-establish any one-time or recurring payments you previously set up. 

Will my bill pay and external transfer history be available in The new system?

No. Please download and save any history you may need prior to Friday, February 28, 2025.

Statements

Will my statements look the same?

No, statements will have a slightly new look.

Will my statements be delayed due to system upgrade?

No, all members will receive mailed statements as of February 28, 2025, including those who have enrolled in e-statements. 

Will I need to re-enroll in e-statements?

Yes. Once members have enrolled in online or mobile banking they will need to re-enroll in e-statements.

Will I continue to receive a seperate credit card statement?

Yes. You should continue to receive your credit card statement separately.
