Young Investors

The Young Investors Club provides the skills and knowledge your child will need to manage their money and teaches them the importance of maintaining good credit.

Your child could begin to save for long-term goals, such as college and cars. Financially responsible teenagers then can open a checking account in their name with their parents as co-signers.

Parents can also co-sign for a MasterCard with low limits or special loans for things such as school clothes so teenagers can begin to have a sense of responsibility as a borrower.

To open the account we will need a Social Security Card and the co-signers information (valid picture ID and Social Security Card) and $5.00.

Parents can choose to make deposits into this account through payroll deduction, and for convenience they can use one of our branches or service center locations.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

Memorial Hermann Credit Union does not knowingly collect, maintain or use personal information from our website about children under 13 years of age, and this website is not designed to attract children. If a child under 13 sends personal information online, we will only use that information to respond directly to the child, notify parents, or seek parental consent.
